Which Newborn Photography Package Is Right for You?

You’re having a baby. You’re probably already thinking about the nursery, the tiny clothes, the hospital bag, and approximately a million other things.

And somewhere on that list is probably newborn photos.

But then you start looking at photography packages and realize… Wait. How many photos do I actually want? Do I want family pictures? Just baby? Posed photos? Lifestyle photos? And what happens if I love more images than my package includes?

I get it.

That’s exactly why I offer a few different newborn session options. Not every family wants the same thing, and I don't believe you need to book the biggest package just because you’re having a baby.

But I will say this: Baby Premium is the package I created for families who want the full newborn experience.

And there’s a reason it’s my favorite.

So, What Does a Newborn Session With Me Actually Look Like?

One of my favorite things about newborn sessions is that we don't have to choose between beautiful baby portraits and meaningful family photographs.

We can have both.

I typically start with the family photos while everyone is together. We’ll get those sweet pictures of you as a brand-new family, and then we can move into sibling photos, mom and baby, dad and baby, and all of those combinations that you’ll be so glad you have years from now.

Once we’ve gotten those family images, dad or another support person can take the siblings for a little break while we move into the posed baby portion of the session.

And when I say move into the posed baby portion, I don't mean your baby has to cooperate perfectly.

Babies are babies.

If siblings need a break, we take one. If baby needs to eat, we stop. If something isn't working, we change it. I’m flexible and I’ll work with your family and your baby rather than expecting your baby to fit into a rigid plan.

That's a big part of what makes a newborn session with me relaxed.

Why Baby Premium Is My Most Complete Newborn Package

Baby Premium is for the family who doesn't want to walk away from their session wondering, “Should we have gotten that picture too?”

With Baby Premium, you receive all of your edited images.

No choosing your favorites.

No sitting at your computer trying to narrow an entire gallery down to the handful of images included in your package.

No realizing after your session that there are 15 more images you absolutely love.

You get the whole gallery.

And that means I get to photograph the session the way I want to photograph it — as a complete story.

We can capture the tiny details of your baby.

The sweet posed portraits.

The family snuggles.

The sibling interactions.

Mom and baby.

Dad and baby.

The little moments in between.

And instead of thinking, “We already have enough images,” I can keep creating when I know there is another beautiful image waiting to happen.

That’s what I love about Premium.

It allows me to give you the full experience, rather than stopping at the minimum number of images.

And honestly? Those extra images are often the ones my clients end up loving the most.

That's completely okay.

I offer several newborn options because different families want different things.



Baby Only

Baby Only is perfect if you really just want photographs of your baby.

Maybe you have older children and regularly have family photos taken. Maybe you already have beautiful family photographs planned for another time. Or maybe you simply want to focus on those tiny details and sweet newborn portraits.

This is a great option when baby is your main priority.

Baby Plus

Baby Plus is my more budget-friendly option for families who want a little bit more than just baby photos without going all-in on the Premium experience.

It's a great middle ground if you want beautiful newborn portraits and some of those important family images while keeping your investment a little lower.

Lifestyle

Lifestyle is perfect if you're drawn to the more natural, unposed side of newborn photography.

Instead of focusing primarily on posed baby portraits, we can document your family interacting naturally snuggling, feeding, rocking, cuddling, and simply being together during those first days with your new baby.

If you love the feeling of photographs that look and feel like your real life, Lifestyle may be exactly what you're looking for.

And Then There's Baby Premium

If you're reading through all of these and thinking,

“But I kind of want all of that…”

That's probably your answer.

I have families start with one of the smaller packages because they think they only want a few images — and then they see their gallery and realize they want so much more.

But if you already know that you're going to want the family photos, the baby portraits, the sibling pictures, the different setups, and all of the images you love…

Not because the other packages aren't wonderful.

They are.

They're simply designed for families who want something different.

Baby Premium is designed for the family who wants the whole story.

The newborn stage goes by unbelievably fast.

Those tiny fingers.

The little stretches.

The way your baby fits perfectly against your chest.

The older sibling meeting their new brother or sister.

The way you and your partner look at each other while figuring out this new version of your family.

Not just the perfect posed photograph of your baby but the people who love that baby, too.

So when you're choosing your newborn session, think about what you want to remember.

If that's simply your baby, Baby Only might be perfect.

If you want a little more while staying budget-friendly, Baby Plus is a great option.

If you love natural, authentic family moments, Lifestyle may be the way to go.
